Silk'n Infinity Hair Removal Device (2024)

  • Does this work on blonde hair?

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective.

  • Is the Infinity safe to use on it near tattoos?

We recommend not treating on tattoos or permanent makeup, dark brown or black spots, (such as large freckles, birth marks, moles or warts). Treating any area with the Silk'n devices that is dark in color or has more pigment can result in adverse effects such as blisters and skin color changes (hyper - or hypo-pigmentation). You may also wish to cover the area with material that will not absorb the light such as a white cloth or white medical tape during treatments to avoid accidentally flashing over the area.

  • Hi! I\'m patiently waiting for my Silk\'n to arrive in the mail and I\'m excited to try this product. I know you shouldn\'t do laser hair removal over a tattoo, but how should I go about covering up my tattoo safely? Thank you

• Do you smell the hair burn like in salons? That means they got the root of the hair and they suggest to get it done about 4 -8 weeks … depending on the hair cycle.. True with this also?

The smell may be from hair that is left on the skin and was not completely removed from shaving. Complete your treatments on clean shaven skin. You will not smell burnt hair from the root. HPL is not as intense as professional laser.

  • Why can\'t this product be used 2 Xs a week if there is no sensitivity to the treatment?

You can treat once a week - this does not guarantee faster results however, it would help increase your chances of catching the hairs in the active stage of growth. Hairs in some areas are known to grow at different times and grow thicker.

  • It doesn\'t include the cleaning box where you put it on after using it? Then where can I get it?

The Cleaning box is available to purchase through our Customer Support team. Please contact us on our toll free # 1-877-367-4556 Mon-Fri 9am-6pm.

  • Does this work for dark red hair?

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective. It should work on dark red hair as long as there is pigment.

  • Once you get to the 8th treatment it says to use as needed, I\'m curious to know how often I can use it? Can I use it every week after the 8th treatment until I reach the desired effect? Also can you use it on an area with hair without shaving the area? Like for example on my face/ upper lip but I really don\'t want to shave my lip.. Thanks in advance!

You can treat once a week, this may not guarantee faster results however, you may catch the hairs in the active growth stage. We understand that many women are not comfortable shaving their face, but it is important to remove the hair on the surface of the skin while keeping the root of the hair intact. For this reason you must shave as opposed to waxing or plucking the hairs, or using chemical depilatory creams. All of these methods remove the follicle, thus compromising the results. If there is hair on the surface of the skin, it will simply burn the hair off and not get to the follicle, leaving the treatment ineffective. If you do not want to shave your face, you can also clip or trim the hair as close as possible to your skin using cosmetic scissors or an electric trimmer before treatments.

  • My BellaFlash is not working, light is flashing and there is no impulse.

One reason may be lighting. Stay away from overhead lights, lamps or windows that allow direct light in - this type of light can create a shadow and read your skin tone as being too dark. For further assistance our toll free number is 1-877-367-4556 Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm ET.

  • Hi. Will this work on brown skin Tone and black hair ?

Our hair removal devices use HPL technology and the flash that is emitted looks for the first pigment before converting in to heat. Since it cannot differentiate between skin or hair pigmentation, if the skin is dark, the flash may immediately be drawn to it and may result in adverse reactions. Please refer to the Fitzpatrick scale found on our website to ensure you are a suitable candidate before purchasing. Here is the linkhttps://silkn.com/products/silkn-flash-go-compact-hair-removal-deviceIf you think your skin tone falls within the suitable range, you should still use your device with caution; we recommend doing a couple of test flashes with each level, on each area that you plan to treat. For example, if you want to treat your legs - start at Level 1 and do a couple of flashes on your legs. Wait 24-48 hrs and if you do not get a reaction, you should be okay to treat this area at this level. Again, you should follow this protocol with each area, at each level to determine which level you are able to tolerate.

  • Does this product remover hair permanently

Our hair removal devices emits a pulse of energy (HPL) which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft. After a series of treatments there will be less hair growth in the treatment area, and eventually the hair will cease to grow.

  • Which one is better in terms of product results and intensity. Silk and Go Express or Infinity

In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. The Flash&GO Express and The Infinity are able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time for speedy treatment that fits your schedule. Both devices are designed to last a lifetime, you will never have to worry about replacing your cartridge.

  • How does the Glide and the Infinity compare?

In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. The Infinity is also able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time. The devices sold on our official website are designed to last a lifetime, you will never have to worry about replacing your cartridge.

  • Will this work for someone with PCOS?

Results vary with individuals depending on many factors - for example, skin tone, hair colour, energy level being used, area being treated. We recommend treating at the highest energy level you are able to tolerate in order to maximize the effectiveness of each session. If you are treating the face, which is generally a more difficult area to treat, and if you have PCOS, which causes a hormone imbalance and can result in excessive facial hair growth, you can expect results to take longer than the average treatment time (sorry to be the bearer of bad news!).

  • Would dyeing white or grey hairs allow the device to treat those hairs?

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective. The root has to have pigment for the device to be effective. Dyeing the hair will not color the root only the surface of the hair.

  • What is the difference between this Silk\'n hair removal device and the other Silk\'n hair removal models?

All of our hair removal products use the same great HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. The difference between all of our models is the shape, colour, and number of flashes that come pre-loaded/per cartridge with each machine. All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. The Infinity is able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time for speedy treatment. • Can I use the Infinity hair removal device every week?

  • Bonjour.

  • Hi there, can I still get the same deal you had around Christmas when the Silkn infinity was $300 something? Also, can it be used on private parts?

We cannot offer the same price as we did during the Holiday season. we invite you to continue visiting our website for future sales and promotions. All Silk’n hair removal products are designed for body hair removal anywhere from the face (below the cheek bone) down. It is not recommended to use Silk’n on nipples and genitals (male or female). When we use the term 'genitals' we are referring to the complete vagin*l area. We do not recommend treating directly on the genitals as this area has more sensitive skin, as well can has more pigmentation which puts you at a greater risk of an adverse reaction, such as blistering.

  • How many pulse light does it have in comparison to the express and go model?

The Express and Infinity are both designed to last a lifetime, you will never have to worry about replacing your cartridge.

  • is this machine can do in women area? thanks

It is not recommended to use Silk’n on genitals (male or female). When we use the term 'genitals' we are referring to the complete genital area. We do not recommend treating directly on the genitals as this area has more sensitive skin, as well can has more pigmentation which puts you at a greater risk of an adverse reaction, such as blistering. The bikini line is a common treatment area for Silk'n users, however you must be careful when getting too close to the genital area. The bikini line would be considered skin along the lower abdomen and between the legs that is exposed by bikini style undergarments. We do not recommend treating the genital area but consider completing a full bikini - which will be very close, but not a full Brazilian.

  • Is there a warranty for the product and how long should it last? I have seen some of these types of products that only last for a certain amount of usages.

The Infinity does not have a programmed set of flashes, it is designed to last a lifetime of treatments. The device has hundreds of thousands of flashes. We offer a two year manufacturers warranty if the device is purchased through our official website.

  • Is the red light safe? Specially if I use it on my face.

All Silk’n hair removal devices are completely safe to use without safety goggles/glasses and your machine is fitted with an added safety feature that does not allow a flash to go off in mid-air. If you find the light too bright, close your eyes and/or turn your head away for the light during each flash. Some customers prefer to wear their regular sunglasses, but the light emitted is similar to that of a camera flash.

  • The hair removal product for the face and or other parts of the body - how does it work for people with blonde hair? Is it for dark hair removal only or all hair colours?

Our hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. • After what age is this hair removing tool recommended for teenager girls?

We do not recommend using our devices for adolescents under 16 years of age. It is suggested to wait until this age or after they have gone through puberty so that hormone levels are stabilized.

  • Why it is not recommended to use while nursing? Also my main area that I want to treat is my chin, do I need to shave that area as well?

We do not recommend using our hair removal devices while you are pregnant or while nursing as it is suggested that you wait until your hormones have stabilized following birth or the last day of nursing. These changes can make you more prone to hyper- or hypo-pigmentation or other reactions as your skin can be more sensitive during this time. Treatments should be done on clean shaven skin. If you do not want to shave your face, you can also clip or trim the hair as close as possible to your skin using cosmetic scissors or an electric trimmer before treatments.

  • Do I have to shave my chin before using infinity? What happens if the area I want the hair remove is damaged because of plucking hair too often?

It is important to remove the hair on the surface of the skin while keeping the root of the hair intact. For this reason you must shave as opposed to waxing or plucking the hairs, or using chemical depilatory creams. All of these methods remove the follicle, thus compromising the results, leaving the treatment ineffective. If you do not want to shave your face, you can also clip or trim the hair as close as possible to your skin using cosmetic scissors or an electric trimmer before treatments.

  • Can the Silk\'n Infinity hair removal device use for hair removal on the upper lip, chin and neck areas?

Ingrown hairs will be affected by using our hair removal devices as long as they are darker in color.

  • I have been using Flash and Go Express for over 2 years and still have to use it every 2 weeks in several areas of my face and neck. Does the Infinity remove stubborn hair better than Express?

Results vary with individuals depending on many factors - for example, skin tone, hair colour, energy level being used, area being treated. We recommend treating at the highest energy level you are able to tolerate in order to maximize the effectiveness of each session. Please note that light hairs do not respond well to the treatment, due to the lack of pigment. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. Both devices are able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time.

  • is it safe to remove the hair around the areola ?

It is not recommended to use Silk’n on nipples and genitals (male or female). We do not recommend treating directly on the genitals as this area has more sensitive skin, as well can has more pigmentation which puts you at a greater risk of an adverse reaction, such as blistering.

  • Can I use the Infinity to remove hair on my upper lip, chin and neck?

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body.

  • Does it get ride of light and dark hair? I am pale and I find my 15 year old silkn gets ride of dark hair. As I get older I also have hard white hairs that it doesn\'t touch. Does this product get ride of both color hair?

We do not recommend using our devices for adolescents under 16 years of age. It is suggested to wait until this age or after they have gone through puberty so that hormone levels are stabilized. Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective.

  • Does this work for bikini area as well?

The bikini line is a common treatment area for Silk'n users, however you must be careful when getting too close to the genital area. The bikini line would be considered skin along the lower abdomen and between the legs that is exposed by bikini style undergarments. We do not recommend treating the genital area but consider completing a full bikini - which will be very close, but not a full Brazilian.

  • Hi. Just confused with the word \"permanently\" in the phrase \'permanently removes hair.\' Is it true, will surely buy that one. Thanks.

Silk'n devices use HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology which is a flash of light that looks for pigment in the hair follicle and when found, converts to heat and disables the hair follicle so it will no longer grow back.

  • Does the skin need to be freshly shaved or is a small amount of stubble ok? If I shave in the morning, can I use the Infinity that evening or would I need to shave again?

Each treatment session should be done on clean dry shaven skin. It depends on the length of the stubble. You want to make sure the device is treating the root of the hair in the follicle not the hair on top of the skin.

  • Hi, I am looking to purchase this device but I see you also have the \"silk\'n Bella flash PRO available at Costco. I\'m just wondering if you could tell me the difference between the two devices ( besides the shape) Thank you! Lori

The BellaFlash Pro is sold at Costco and is branded "Bella" for Costco products. The BellaFlash Pro is a triggerless device. There is no button to press in order to emit a pulse. Once the device touches the skin, it's sensor allows a flash to be released The Infinity also uses HPL but has added Galvanic energy that opens pores upon skin contact, allowing the HPL energy to treat thicker, coarser hairs more efficiently. The Infinity is also able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time for speedy treatment.

  • What is the difference between the infinity and express devices?

Both the Infinity and the Express use HPL technology that looks for pigment in hair follicle to disable it. The Infinity also has an added energy - Galvanic energy which opens up the pores, allowing HPL energy to treat thicker, coarser hairs more effectively. The galvanic energy also encourages skin rejuvenation when you apply creams after your treatment because it allows them to penetrate better in to the skin.

  • What parts will need to replace, frequency of replacement and price of parts with the use of the Infinity.

The Infinity comes with a lifetime of built-in flashes (approximately 400,000) so there are no replacement parts required.

  • Does this product use cartridges?

No, the Infinity not use any cartriges. The lifetime of flashes are built-in.

  • Does this system remove white hairs on chin and upper lip. Also what is the difference between this system and theGlide Never Wax Again system

All Silk'n hair removal devices use HPL technology that requires pigment in the hair follicle, to be effective therefore does not work on white or light coloured hair. The Glide uses HPL technology but has less # of flashes therefore would be ideal for treating small areas or someone who has done professional treatments, looking to do maintenance.

  • Hello! I am interested in purchasing this device, but am wondering if I\'m a good candidate. I am a pale, Caucasian woman with dark blonde hair. I typically only need to shave underarms, bikini line and legs every week (or two weeks during winter), so would not use the device for those areas as much. I would, however, use on my face. I have thick, blond and dark brown hair on my chin and use a razor almost every morning to get rid of it. I have tons of peach fuzz on my face, as well. I\'d love, love, love to try something like this to see if I could get ALL the hair on my face to go away, but especially my chin. It\'s always an area of irritation with shaving and is sometimes unsightly. I\'m not happy with my current way of removing the hair on my chin. Would this device work for me? Would it be able to catch the lighter hair on my face, specifically my chin? Thank you for any guidance/advice!

Hi! Thank you for your inquiry. The Infinity uses galvanic & HPL technology opens the pores and looks for pigment in the hair follicle to disable it. It does not work well on lighter hair tones and peach fuzz but will treat any dark brown hairs on your face and body.

  • is it battery or electricity powered?

The Infinity is a plug in unit.

  • Can I use for bikini line?

The bikini line is a common treatment area for Silk'n users, however you must be careful when getting too close to the genital area. The bikini line would be considered skin along the lower abdomen and between the legs that is exposed by bikini style undergarments. We do not recommend treating the genital area but consider completing a full bikini - which will be very close, but not a full Brazilian.

  • How does the Infinity differ from the BellaFlash Pro Hair Removal System?

Both the Infinity and the BellaFlash Pro use HPL technology that seeks the pigment in your hair follicle and disables the root. The Infinity, which is our newest model, also uses Galvanic energy that opens pores allowing the HPL energy to treat thicker, coarser hair more efficiently.

  • What\'s the difference between flash &go Express & infinity hair removal device?

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. The Flash&GO Express and The Infinity are able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time for speedy treatment that fits your schedule. Both devices are designed to last a lifetime, you will never have to worry about replacing your cartridge.

  • Does Silk\'n Infinity work on blond/ white/grey coloured hair ? Thanks.

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective.

  • Will this work on medium tanned skin tones?

  • One reviewer wrote that she placed a white cloth over her tato to protect it. This started me wondering. Does the product work on faint beauty marks and thin fine scars? Would I have to place a cloth over them

Freckles are not an issue because they are light is pigment and spread out as well as superficial. However, moles tend to be deeper in pigment and raised which makes them more of an concern. Therefore, moles, birthmarks, tattoos or anything that changes the pigment of the skin you would need to apply white medical tape over the area before doing your treatments.

  • Can it be used on the abdominal and chest area?

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body - back, chest, legs, arms and more.

  • Hi, I had tried that Flash&Go Compact for a year of regular usage without much results on my full body (below the neck). I am a male with black hair, and medium-dark brown skin. I normally used the machine on either level 1 or 2. So my questions are: 1) Will the Galvanic energy of the Infinity make it more effective for me than the pink Flash&Go Compact? 2) Do the 5 power setting for the Infinity feel like the same intensity as the 5 power settings of Flash&Go Compact? 3) Is there a chance that anything newer than the infinity will be coming out anytime soon, which might be more effective for my skin & hair type? Thank you for your time,

You will get the same results from all of our hair removal devices. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. The energy levels will have the same effectiveness. Keep in mind that men's hair may take longer to treat - the hairs are thicker and coarse. If treating on levels 1 & 2 it may take longer as well, but don't worry you will still get the same results with just a little more time and patience. The Infinity is our newest hair removal device.

  • Can this be used on all body hair for women and men? I have been going for laser treatments and they are to expensive and my husband has problems with his body hair.

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body. We do not recommend using our HPL hair removal devices on male facial hair; it can be difficult to treat and it may not be the look you desire. The end result will be that of unnaturally smooth skin vs. a freshly shaven appearance. Treating the neck area, however, has been proven to be quite successful for men – leaving a natural appearance.

  • Will this product work for dark brown skin, or, is it only for Europeans and some Asians?

Our hair removal devices use HPL technology and the flash that is emitted looks for the first pigment before converting in to heat. Since it cannot differentiate between skin or hair pigmentation, if the skin is dark, the flash may immediately be drawn to it and may result in adverse reactions. Please refer to the Fitzpatrick scale found on our website to ensure you are a suitable candidate before purchasing. • After i shave and use the laser, what happens to hair? does it fall down itself?

Our hair removal devices emits a pulse of energy (HPL) which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft. After a series of treatments there will be less hair growth in the treatment area, and eventually the hair will cease to grow.

  • Does it work on white facial hair? If so, must the light hair be waxed or epilated beforehand?

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective. If the root has pigment it may still work. No waxing, plucking or depilatory creams as these methods may pull out or break the follicle, rendering the treatment ineffective.

  • Does this work on ingrown hairs as well?

Ingrown hairs will be affected by using our hair removal devices as long as they are darker in color.

  • I know that it is better to shave before using silk\'n infinity, however since there is 2 weeks between each treatment can I use epilatory machine in between treatments?

Yes we always recommend shaving the area before each treatment session. You can treat weekly, although this does not guarantee faster results it may help increase the chances of catching the hairs in the active growth stage. You can shave in between treatments. We do not recommend waxing, plucking or using an epilator, these methods remove the follicle, thus compromising the results.

  • What is the diference between flash&go and infinity? What is the waranty for infinity Do you delivery in province of Quebec Thx

All of our hair removal products use the same great HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. The Flash&GO Express and The Infinity are able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time. Both devices are designed to last a lifetime of treatments. We deliver anywhere in North America.

  • It can use in thailand if I buy in USA. Can I charge it when I live in thailand?

All of our devices are dual voltage 100V to 240V.

  • Is this the newest 4.2 model?

Our newest hair removal device is called the Silk'n Infinity.

  • I have lots of soft hair, I use epilator. Can this machine do the work or I have to shave for it?

It is important to remove the hair on the surface of the skin before each treatment, while keeping the root of the hair intact. For this reason we recommend shaving as opposed to waxing or plucking the hairs, or using chemical depilatory creams. All of these methods remove the follicle, thus compromising the results and leaving the treatment ineffective. If you do not want to shave you can use cosmetic scissors and trim as close as you can to the skin.

  • What\'s the difference between this one (Infinity) and the one sold in asian (Infinity 2.0) in terms of specifications, like wave length and so on. I see it has 5 levels, does each level has different wave length?

The Infinity is sold in North America. The Infinity 2.0 may be sold in China. We do no have the Infinity 2.0 available to purchase in North America. The Infinity Wavelength - 475-1200nm.

  • Is it Infinity 2.0? Or the old Infinity? What\'s the wave length at different mode?

The Infinity is sold in North America. The Infinity 2.0 may be sold in China. We do no have the Infinity 2.0 available to purchase in North America. The Infinity Wavelength - 475-1200nm

  • Is it able to use with 220V power in Asia?

All of our devices are dual voltage 100V to 240V.

  • Can we use for facial hair?

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body.

  • Can it be used on facial hair and head?

All of our hair removal devices can be used on the face, below the cheekbones only. This means it is not recommend for use on the eyebrows or hairline, but certainly you can get rid of hair on your upper lip, cheeks, sideburns, chin/jawline, and neck area safely.

  • Hi! Can I use the Infinity on my 10-year old daughter?

We recommend that adolescents wait until they are at least 16 years of age before starting treatments with any of our hair removal devices. Due to the hormonal changes that the body goes through during puberty, treatments may be less effective.

  • Is it FDA approved?

    The Infinity is FDA cleared.

  • Why do the UK versions of Silk\'n Infinity say it can remove blonde and grey hair, but the US version say it can\'t? This product stood out on many reviews saying it would be suitable but saw conflicting info when I went to buy it off Amazon. Trying to remove light hair on fair skin.

If grey hair is salt and pepper there still might be a chance it can work. Same with blonde – if there is just a little brown pigment it might work. White blonde or white hair for sure won’t work. The device requires pigmentation in the root for the light to find the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective - the Infinity will work on some blonde or grey hair if there is still a little pigment in the root.

  • Can this product connect of Silk\'s app using bluetooth?

The Infinity is not Bluetooth ready in North America, only in Europe and Asia. You can still use the Silk’n App as a reminder of when to do your treatments but it cannot pair to your device.

  • Can silk n be used for brazilian area

It is not recommended to use Silk’n on the genitals (male or female). We do not recommend treating directly on the genitals as this area has more sensitive skin, as well can has more pigmentation which puts you at a greater risk of an adverse reaction such as blistering. The bikini line is a common treatment area for Silk'n users, however you must be careful when getting too close to the genital area. The bikini line would be considered skin along the lower abdomen and between the legs that is exposed by bikini style undergarments.

  • What is the height and width of the treatment window? How much area can be treated with each flash?

Spot size 0.9cm x 3cm [2.7cm²]. One flash treats one spot. The Infinity has the Glide option where you can hold the trigger button and allow the device to flash from one spot to the next.

  • Do I need an extra laser safty goggle when using infinity device

All Silk’n hair removal devices are completely safe to use without safety goggles/glasses and your machine is fitted with an added safety feature that does not allow a flash to go off in mid-air. If you find the light too bright, close your eyes and/or turn your head away for the light during each flash. Some customers prefer to wear their regular sunglasses, but the light emitted is similar to that of a camera flash.

  • Can I use hair removal cream instead of shaving? Would it work the same as it\'s not waxing?

It is important to remove the hair on the surface of the skin before each treatment, while keeping the root of the hair intact. For this reason we recommend shaving as opposed to waxing or plucking the hairs, or using chemical depilatory creams. All of these methods remove the follicle, thus compromising the results. If there is hair on the surface of the skin, it will simply burn the hair off and not get to the follicle, leaving the treatment ineffective. If you do not want to shave, you can also clip or trim the hair as close as possible to your skin using cosmetic scissors or an electric trimmer before treatments. You can purchase the Silk'n Trim precision electric trimmer for this purpose from our website.

  • Does it work on light hair as well on dark hair candidates? I\'m a blond and I know that is a big deal in hair removal

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective.

  • Will the Infinity remove dark hair from an area of very light skin with a lot of freckles, or will it not be able to differentiate the freckles from the hair itself?

Freckles are not an issue because they are light is pigment and spread out as well as superficial. However, moles tend to be deeper in pigment and raised which makes them more of an concern. Therefore, moles, birthmarks, tattoos or anything that changes the pigment of the skin you would need to apply white medical tape over the area before doing your treatments. We always recommend testing an area on each level before treating the whole area on that level. Depending on the darkness of your freckles you may be able to treat on levels 1, 2 & 3. Light skin and dark hair is a great candidate.

  • In between treatments with 3 weeks interval I can shave ? I just started in this week with my new Silk\'n Infinity

Yes you can shave in between treatments. You can treat weekly, this does not guarantee faster results however, it would increase your chances of catching the hairs in the active stage of growth.

  • What is the difference between the 4 hair removal treatments?

All of our hair removal products use the same great HPL technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. The difference between all of our models is the shape, colour, and number of flashes that come pre-loaded with each device. Our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body. All of our devices are designed to last a lifetime of treatments. The Jewel is triggerless, therefore, there is no button to press in order to emit a pulse. Once the device touches the skin, it's sensor allows a flash to be released.

  • What is the difference between this newer version and the older versions such as the Express model? Does it stop hair growth quicker than the older versions?

All of our hair removal products use the same great HPL technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. The difference between all of our models is the shape, colour, and number of flashes that come pre-loaded with each device.

  • Is this product also good for brown spot, acnea and couperose?

I thank and appreciate your help.

Unfortunately, our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective

  • Can I use this once a week on thicker coarse hairs or is it unsafe to use more than the every other week mentioned in the guide?

You can use the Infinity once a week - this does not guarantee faster results however, you may catch the hairs in the active growth stage. Some areas such as face, bikini and underarm may take longer to see results because the hair tends to be more coarse and deeply rooted.

  • I\'ve read in some places that you are to avoid sun exposure after treatment. Is this correct? If so? How long and what types of exposure?

We do not recommend using our hair removal devices on tanned skin after recent sun exposure, including tanning machines. Using the device on skin that has been recently exposed to sunlight can result in adverse effects such as blisters and skin color changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation). Avoid further exposure to the sun for 4 weeks before and 2 weeks after your treatment. This is because higher quantities of melanin expose the skin to greater risk when using any method of light-based hair removal. This applies to all skin types, even those that don’t seem to tan quickly.

  • Does the pulse light have to be replaced or is it lifetime? If not, do any of your products offer a life time pulse?

  • How does this device compare to the old Sensepil that came out several years back (besides the lifetime flashes)? I have a Sensepil and am trying to decide if I should upgrade.

All of our hair removal products use the same great Home Pulsed Light technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. • Is this one 1.0 or 2.0?

The Infinity is sold in North America under the name Infinity. It is not the 1.0 or 2.0.

  • I generally need to shave my lower legs and armpits on a daily basis and can feel the stubble of the hair growing back by the late afternoon. I just received my Infinity in the mail today and shaved both legs at the same time. I used the Infinity on my left leg only to compare it with an untreated leg. Although there is still stubble on my left leg, it is far less and a lot more smoother than my right leg which I left untreated. I am happy with my first time use; however, I was wondering if I can continue shaving on a daily basis and/or in between treatments or will that stimulate hair growth and work against the Infinity treatment?

Yes, you can shave in between treatments.

  • Hi. I was wondering if this can be used on dark skin. I am south Asian Indian woman and would like to make sure if this works on med-dark brown skin. Thanks.

Please refer to the Fitzpatrick scale found on our website to ensure you are a suitable candidate before purchasing. If you think your skin tone falls within the suitable range, you should still use your device with caution; we recommend doing a couple of test flashes with each level, on each area that you plan to treat. • CAN I USE IT TO REMOVE THE HAIR AS FULL BIKINI WAXING? NOT ONLY THE LINE.

  • It says \"no refill cartridge needed\" and in your specifications it says \"Pulse light duration 500-800µs\". I\'m confused? It has a lifetime of pulses and you will never have to worry about replacing the cartridge or it has from 500 to 800 pulses? I will appreciate your answer. Thanks

The Infinity comes pre loaded with enough flashes to last a lifetime of treatments including any maintenance required.

  • Does the Infinity hair removal device emit UV radiation? Is there anything built into the device to prevent it if so?

The Infinity uses Optical Light Energy

  • I have blonde hair on my face. My cheeks have fuzzy/ fine hair. Will this even work on my face. I used to get my face waxed & because of my fuzzy cheek s she would also do some dermaplaning. Please be honest with me. Thank you, Melanie

Our Silk'n hair removal devices are not effective on blonde/white or grey and some shades of red hairs. The device requires pigmentation in the hair for the light to 'find' the hairs, and so without pigment the treatments are ineffective. Sorry, this may not have been what you wanted to hear.

  • is it suitable for male beard use?

We do not recommend using our HPL hair removal devices on male facial hair; it can be difficult to treat and it may not be the look you desire. The end result will be that of unnaturally smooth skin vs. a freshly shaven appearance. Treating the neck area, however, has been proven to be quite successful for men – leaving a natural appearance. Results may also take longer for men due to the coarseness of the hair. On average, you should start to see results - bald spots in the area(s) you are treating - around the 6th session. However a typical hair growth cycle may take 18-24 months. During this time, multiple sessions may be required in order to achieve permanent hair removal. Due to hormonal or other physiological changes, dormant hair follicles may become active. Maintenance hair removal sessions may be required from time to time.

  • Hello, i have 3questions : 1)Does the unit have uv filtration? 2)you mention that the cleaning box is sold separately, yet i cannot find any on your website. 3) does the charger come with interchangeable international plugs? many thanks, Ilana

The cartridge window is tinted to filter the UV on all our hair removal devices. The cleaning box is only available in Europe. The Infinity comes with 3 plugs that are compatible for North America, Europe and Asia.

  • What is the main difference between the Silk\'n Infinity and the Silk\'n Flash and Go Express? I see that the Flash and Go Express has 300,000 light pulses, but do not see how many the Infinity has - will it always work or will it run out of flashes too?

The Flash&Go Express and The Infinity are able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time for speedy treatment. Both devices are designed to last a lifetime of treatments, you will never have to worry about replacing your cartridge. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively.

  • How available is the Infinity Cleaning Box and what is the cost?

The Infinity cleaning box is not available in North America at this time.

  • Do I need to buy a safety glasses for using the laser??

It is completely safe to use without safetygoggles/glasses and your machine is fitted with an added safety feature that does not allow a flash to go off in mid-air. If you find the light too bright, close your eyes and/or turn your head away for the light during each flash. Some customers prefer to wear their regular sunglasses, but the light emitted is similar to that of a camera flash.

  • Can be use on bikini area??

All Silk’n hair removal products are designed for body hair removal anywhere from the face (below the cheek bone) down. It is not recommended to use Silk’n on nipples and genitals (male or female). When we use the term 'genitals' we are referring to the complete genital area. We do not recommend treating directly on the genitals as this area has more sensitive, as well can has more pigmentation which puts you at a greater risk of an adverse reaction, such blistering. The bikini line is a common treatment area for Silk'n users, however you must be careful when getting too close to the genital area. The bikiniline would be considered skin along the lower abdomen and between the legs that is exposed bybikinistyle undergarments. We do not recommend treating the genital area but consider completing a fullbikini- which will be very close, but not a fullBrazilian.

  • Do I need to use a numbing gel or a cooling agent gel before using the infinity device?

  • What is the difference between Flash&go Express model and Infinity model?

All of our hair removal products use the same great HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. The difference between all of our models is the shape, color, and number of flashes that come pre-loaded/per cartridge with each machine. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, our new eHPL technology uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. The Infinity and Express are able to reload faster than other technologies, allowing for more pulses in a shorter amount of time for speedy treatment that fits your schedule. Bothdevices come pre loaded with enough flashes to last a lifetime of treatments. A replacement cartridge is not required.

  • Can I use the device in the summer ? What are the necessary safety precautions I need to take?

Tanned skin particularly following sun exposure, contains large quantities of the pigment Melanin. This applies to all skin types and complexions, including those that don’t seem to tan quickly. The skin sensor on our devices does not detect activated melanin so just because the skin is technically light enough for a safe treatment, an adverse effect may take place if the skin was recently exposed. The presence of large quantities of Melanin exposes the skin to higher risk of adverse effects when using our hair removal or any other energy based treatment, including blisters, and skin color changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation). It is important to avoid un-protected sun exposure for at least 4 weeks before and after treatments.

  • Which body parts is Infinity NOT safe to use?

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body. We do not recommend using the device on the forehead or above the eyebrows. Not to treat above the cheekbone. The difference between all of our models is the shape, color, and number of flashes that come pre-loaded/per cartridge with each machine. • Will it work on auburn hair?

The Infinity Hair removal device uses a combination of galvanic energy and optical light energy that work together to disable the hair root so it does not grow back. Galvanic energy temporarily opens the pores which allows the optical light to treat hair more efficiently. Hair needs to have pigment because that is what will attract the light to heat therefore the ideal candidates have brown to black hair. This technology does not work well on blonde, grey, white or strawberry red hair. If the hair that you are treating is more brown than red, it may be effective.

  • I have been nursing my child for an extended time-over 3 years. If I do a patch test and no issues with pigmentation, am I okay to continue? I believe my hormones are quite stable.

If you find your hormones are balance we would recommend doing a test patch on each level and each area being treated.

  • Just wondering if I am able to use this on my skin if I have a lot of freckles. Most of the freckles where I intend to use this are lighter but obviously still darker than the rest of my skin ! Thanks ! :)

Treating any area with the Silk'n devices that is dark in colour or has more pigment can result in adverse effects such as blisters and skin colour changes (hyper - or hypo-pigmentation. We always recommend testing an area on each level before treating the whole area on that level. Depending on the darkness of your freckles you may be able to treat on levels 1, 2 & 3.

  • What is the wavelength of the light filters on this IPL device?

    The Infinity Specifications Wavelength 475-1200nm

  • Why is it not recommended for people with nickel or chromium allergies?

We would recommed not using the Inifinity as stated in the user manual if you are allergic to metal, or are sensitive to contact with chrome. You may also consult with your physician and explain the metal part on the device. If you can use it we would recommend doing a test patch before treating the whole area.

We have customers who use our devices for maintenance after professional trearments. Our devices are used instead of professional treatments as well.

  • It is not recommended to use Infinity on skin that has been treated with sensitizing chemicals like AHA's/BHA's/Retinol etc. Does this change if you STOP using such treatments? If so, how long after using them would it be safe to use the Infinity?

Most over the counter retinol, BHA or AHA products are safe to use with our hair removal devices. If the product you are using is prescribed by a Doctor or Dermatologist, you should check with him/her that prescribed it. If they confirm that it is ok to use, ask when it would be safe to use. Try doing a test patch on the area to make sure the products have not caused you to be more sensitive to heat and light.

  • What happens if I realize I am pregnant after 1 month of use. Should I stop using it? Can I resume using it after the birth as normal? Would the treatment work if I continue using it after the birth?

These changes can make you more prone to hyper- or hypo-pigmentation or other reactions as your skin can be more sensitive during this time.

  • Hi I own the infinity as well as the titan, the silhouette & the ReVit prestige. Can I do all 4 treatments on the same day?If not, why?

The ReVit Prestige, Titan, Silhouette and Infinity can be used in conjunction with each other and you will find you'll get even more benefit as they serve different levels in skin care. The ReVit Prestige works on replenishing the skin from the outside in while the Titan works from the inside out. However, we do recommend giving your skin a chance to settle between treatments; if you plan on doing the treatment on the same day, do 1 in the morning and one in the evening.
ReVit Prestige treatments should only be done 1 or 2 times a week - depending on your skin's sensitivity. The Titan should be used 2 times per week (for the 1st 10 weeks). You can treat with the Infinity on the days you are not using the Titan and Prestige.

  • I'd like to purchase the Infinity hair removal device. Will it burn scars already existing on treatment area or is it safe to apply over the area including the scars?

We do not recommend treating on tattoos or permanent makeup, scars, dark brown or black spots, (such as large freckles, birth marks, moles or warts). Treating any area with the Silk'n devices that is dark in colour or has more pigment can result in adverse effects such as blisters and skin colour changes (hyper - or hypo-pigmentation). You may also wish to cover the area with material that will not absorb the light such as a white cloth or white medical tape during treatments to avoid accidentally flashing over the area.

  • Why is it not recommended for use when pregnant? Is it a safety issue or efficacy issue?

  • The product has a lifetime of how many flashes?

The Infinity is designed to last a lifetime of treatments, you will never have to worry about replacing your cartridge.

  • what's the different between Silk'n Flash&Go Jewel & Infinity Hair Removal Device? which one is more efficient?

Hello MHO, All of our hair removal products use the same great HPL (Home Pulsed Light) technology and follow the same treatment schedule for the same results. The difference between all of our models is the shape, colour, and number of flashes that come pre-loaded/per cartridge with each machine. All of our models can be used from the cheekbones down and on the body, including the bikini line.

The Jewel is preloaded with 100,000 pulses and is enough for a single user to treat their entire body. This unit does not have a trigger/pulse button and will automatically begin treatments when in contact with skin. The Infinity is preloaded with 400,000 flashes which is enough for two full body treatments, it can be used on Gliding or Pulsing mode to treat both large and small, precision areas. In addition to optical light energy found in HPL, Infinity has new eHPL technology that uses galvanic energy to open your pores, allowing the Infinity to treat thick, stubborn hairs right at their root even more effectively. Both devices do not require refill cartridges.

  • Can I use it on the bikini area? as well as the inner thigh bikini area?

Hello Mho, Yes, the Infinity can be used on the bikini area and inner thigh. All Silk’n hair removal products are designed for body hair removal anywhere from the face (below the cheek bone) down. The bikini line is a common treatment area for Silk'n users, however you must be careful when getting too close to the vagin*l/genital area. The bikini line would be considered skin along the lower abdomen and between the legs that is exposed by bikini style undergarments. We do not recommend treating the genital area but consider completing a full bikini - which will be very close, but not a full Brazilian.

  • I’m a male, and was wondering if this would last for entire body hair removal? (Arms, chest, Stomach, back, legs, feet)

Hello Luc, All of our HPL hair removal devices including the Infinity can be used to treat from the cheekbone down. The Infinity comes with 400,000 built-in flashes which is enough to do a lifetime of treatments. It is also a great option for men in particular because men's hair tends to be coarser and deep rooted and takes longer to see results. The Infinity has an added energy - galvanic energy - that temporarily opens your pores and allows the light energy to better penetrate and treat thicker, stubborn hairs.

  • The instructions say to wait 2 weeks and 4 weeks in between treatments. Are you not supposed to shave at all during that time frame? If someone could please get back to me as this is the second time posting this question.

Yes, you can shave as often as needed between treatments. You will find that the hair will start to grow less and finer. It is always important to shave before treating to get rid of the hair on the surface but keep the follicle and root in tact for effective treatments.

  • The instructions tell you to use it once every two weeks for the first four treatments and then once every four weeks for the next few treatments. Are you not supposed to shave during that period? Or can you shave as you normally would during that time frame?

You can shave as often as needed during the waiting period. You may notice the hairs growing back less as the treatments go on and won’t need to shave as often as before. It is important to always shave before treating to give the light a clear path to the root.

  • Is there any harm in using the infinity too often? more than once a week? and also what happens if you go over the same area more than once?

We recommend using the Infinity once every 2 weeks for the first 8 weeks. For those that find they have aggressive hair growth (i.e., hair that grows in quickly), you can treat once a week. The Infinity has a lifetime of built-in flashes so you won't need to worry about running out however treating more than once a week is not recommended simply because of the hair growth cycle. On average, it takes 10-14 days for hair to get in to the Anagen phase - this is the only phase in which the treatment is effective.

Treating the same spot more than once is not necessary. Once you have flashed a spot, you don't need to worry about treating it until your next scheduled treatment. A slight overlap is okay but avoid multiple flashes on the same spot as this could over stimulate the skin and cause it to become more sensitive.

  • What is the recommended treatment for skin after using the device? Is it safe to apply body lotion or moisturizer?

Post treatment is the ideal time to apply moisturizer as the galvanic energy in the Infinity opens the pores before the flash is emitted, enabling the optical light to be absorbed more readily. Once you have completed your treatment, your pores remain open for a short period of time so take this opportunity to apply your moisturizers for better absorption and be getting great rejuvenation benefits!!

  • Hello,Can my husband use the infinity laser device to deal with hair that grows on the sides of the ears (Helix and Lobule)? Also, could I use the hair removal device on my face if I have brown spots, will the device make the spots danker? Thanks!

We do not advise using the Silk’n Infinity or any of our hair removal devices near any orifices. In addition, both the optical light window and the skin tone sensor below it must be flush with the skin in order for a flash to be emitted. For facial use, we advise to use below the cheek bone only. If the brown spots are more lighter in nature, such as a freckle, it should be fine. However, if they are darker and raised like a mole, you will need to cover them with white medical tape which will reflect the light. Use caution and do a test in an inconspicuous area if you are unsure. And always check with you doctor or dermatologist regarding any medical concerns.

  • I see the other products have a return policy, does Infinity have it too?

    Hello Kiran,
The Infinity does have a 60 day return guarantee so that if you are not completely satisfied with the product, you can return for a refund within the 60 day timeframe. We also have a great warranty for those who purchase the device directly from our website. The 2 year warranty ensures that if you have any technical issues with your device in the first couple of years, we will exchange it for you at no extra cost.

  • is this safe and easy to use for facial hair?especially for chin and face sides?

The Silk’n Infinity is an amazing tool to permanently disable facial hair from the cheekbone down – areas such as the chin and side of face. As long as the hair being treated has pigment, you will have amazing results. Facial hair tends to be one of the areas that have coarser, deep rooted hair. The Infinity is the best option for this because it uses galvanic energy to open up the pores, allowing the optical light energy to penetrate better and treat those thicker hairs more efficiently!
As with all areas of the body, treatments need to be done on just shaven skin. You can also use cosmetic scissors or a micro trimmer if you prefer. Treating weekly may help with your success as these areas can be quite stubborn.

It is not recommended to use our Silk’n hair removal on nipples (male or female). You can treat around the area keeping away from the more pigment part. The Infinity can also be used on he stomach.

  • Can I use on ears?

All of our hair removal devices can safely be used on any facial area below the cheekbone (sideburns, cheeks, jawline/chin, upper lip) and most other areas on the body. The treatment window must fit flat against the skin in order for the device to properly emit the pulse. The ear may be a difficult area to treat. The area should be a flat surface.

  • How long must you avoid tanning after a treatment?

Tannedskinparticularly followingsunexposure, contains large quantities of the pigment Melanin. This applies to allskintypes and complexions, including those that don’t seem to tan quickly. Theskinsensor on our devices does not detect activated melanin so just because theskinis technically light enough for a safe treatment, an adverse effect may take place if theskinwas recently exposed. The presence of large quantities of Melanin exposes theskin to a higher risk of adverse effects when using our hair removal or any other energy based treatment, including blisters, and skincolor changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation). It is important to avoid un-protectedsunexposurefor at least 4 weeks before and after treatments.

  • Can I use this to thin hair in certain areas and not completely remove it like my chest area?

Our hair removal devices emits a pulse of energy (HPL) which is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft. After a series of treatments there will be thinner and less hair growth in the treatment area, and eventually, the hair will cease to grow.

  • I got the Silk’n Infinity laser device and the box has the warning saying “this product can expose you to Bisphenol-A, which is known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm”. Now I am worried if it’s safe to try.

It is a requirement for us, based on the California Prop 65 legislation to have this printed onto our packaging for the United States.BPA is a widely used chemical. In California Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to put this generic statement on products with BPA. Most products in the market have some level of BPA.Even with the slightest amount of BPA - this statement is required.

  • I have never had issues with my Infinity, until now. For some odd reason it won’t flash past level 3, no matter the type of hair or the location on my body. Last time I used the Infinity I used it on level 5 and used the glide feature. Now when I press the pulse trigger, the Skin Colour Indicator light flashes quickly. According to the instruction book, it means my skin is too dark for treatment. However, the locations I’m treating are not exposed to the sun. I thought maybe my hair had thinned due to treatments and wasn’t being recognized by the Skin Colour Indicator so I decided to use on another area of my body that still has thick hair. Same problem. I know it hasn’t reached the end of its life because I don’t use it often enough.

  • Hi i have a question is it safe laser hair removal Silkn while breastfeeding 9 months baby i mean while lactation ?

We do not recommend using our hair removal devices while you are pregnant or while nursing as it is suggested that you wait until your hormones have stabilized following birth or the last day of nursing.
