MANASSAS, VA — On Friday at 1:04 PM, police were called to the 7400 block of Stream Walk Ln. to investigate a robbery reported to have occurred the previous evening. A 47-year-old man was attacked by three men while walking near Hiram Ct.

The assailants demanded money, then assaulted the victim, knocking him to the ground and kicking him. They stole money from his wallet and fled the scene.

The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspects, described only as black males, are believed to have targeted the victim in this incident.

    STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—A Spotsylvania County man, previously employed at Crumbl in Stafford Marketplace, found himself in custody after a break-in gone awry.

    The incident occurred on May 24th at approximately 11:16 p.m., leading to the arrest of 25-year-old Damonte Fauntroy.

    Responding to a breaking and entering call, Stafford County deputies arrived at the scene to find the suspect had locked himself inside the business’s bathroom.

    After a brief standoff, Fauntroy chose to surrender peacefully rather than face K-9 Titan, a well-regarded member of the sheriff’s office known for his efficacy in apprehending suspects.

    Upon investigation, Deputy J.A. Albright discovered that Fauntroy had broken into the premises on seven previous occasions this month, primarily targeting the cash register for its contents. During the arrest, deputies found suspected controlled substances in Fauntroy’s pants, which he claimed were not his.

    Fauntroy faces multiple charges, including eight counts of breaking and entering, eight counts of petit larceny, two counts of wearing a mask in public, and possession of a controlled substance. He is currently held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond as investigations continue.

    Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Reports DUI Arrest Following Vehicle Crash

    STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—In the early hours of May 25th, Stafford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a Ford Ranger at 65 Joshua Road. Despite the vehicle sustaining significant damage, thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.

    Upon arrival at the scene around 3:00 AM, Deputy P.J. Leon conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of the 20-year-old male driver from Stafford County. The driver was found to be intoxicated and faced multiple charges including DUI, driving after illegally consuming alcohol, reckless driving, driving under the influence on a revoked license, and underage possession of alcohol. He was subsequently placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

    Additionally, Deputy W.E. Trainor IV responded to assist and arrested a 21-year-old passenger for public intoxication. The passenger was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    Virginia Beach Carnival Shooting Leaves One Dead, Another Injured at Mount Trashmore Park

    VIRGINIA BEACH, VA—A tragic shooting at a local carnival in Virginia Beach has resulted in the death of a 15-year-old girl and left an 18-year-old male in critical condition. The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) is actively investigating the incident that unfolded last night in the 300 block of Edwin Drive at at MountTrashmore Park.

    The initial 911 call was received at 8:31 PM. Upon arrival, police found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save her, the young woman succumbed to her injuries. The male victim remains in critical condition.

    According to police reports, the violence began with a fight inside the carnival, which was initially broken up by off-duty deputies from the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office working at the event. However, the altercation resumed later in the parking lot outside the carnival grounds, where at least one individual discharged a firearm.

    Police Chief Paul Neudigate expressed his concerns about the incident, stating, “The increase in youth gun violence that we are experiencing in our community is disturbing and reprehensible. It is heartbreaking to continue to see young lives being lost and families torn apart by these senseless acts.”
